This organization within WURHA is a group that gathers and shares to promote, coordinate, and assist residence honoraries and communicates on all campuses of member schools.
The purpose of WHIL is to provide recognition for individuals who have outstanding service and who provide leadership in the residence halls at their schools.
WHIL within WURHA will use ideas and share information through various forms of communication such as WHIL CC interaction, annual conferences, newsletters, and list-serves. The organization also seeks to create and improve individual residence housing organizations (including, but not limited to National Residence Hall Honorary Chapters, Honorary Housing Organizations, and/or Housing Governing Bodies).
WHIL will recruit and provide a starting point for both new and member schools to become involved in WURHA and more specifically WHIL. WHIL will also provide a starting point and information for all WHILs to becoming involved in and form National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH) Chapters within the Great Lakes Affiliate of College and University Residence Halls (GLACURH), and the National Association of College and University Residence Halls (NACURH).
